Daisy field trip

The girls had a good time at their field trip. We learnt all about pigs. From birth to being food on the table. We worked on a activity book, made pizzas, made a trail mix (they called it a feed mix), and then we made homemade ice cream. We were the biggest troop there with 11 girls.

busy week

Today i have Daisy Scouts to lead after school, then we are heading out to get some pictures of the kids at Funks Grove. Of, Course there is something on every day of the calendar like usual. Hopefully I will have an update later with some cute pictures!

Our Church has sent off a group of our church family to Thailand for a Medical mission trip. They have a blog www.accmission.blogspot.com that you can follow to see what they are doing. We would like to ask for a safe travel for all of our mission folks and all others that are out there spreading God's word.

Dentist Visit! Bella's first trip!

So today I took Zack, Isaiah, Moriah, and Bella to the dentist today for a cleaning. Well, Bella did great for it being her first visit. (she was a little scared but did great) All of the kids walked out without cavities, but I walked out with a HUGE bill for the cleanings and xrays (over 500.00) At least I don't have to go back for cavity work!!

Pound the Preacher!

Every October we have a Church wiener roast with "Pound the Preacher". Everyone brings a pound of something (coffee, bacon, butter, meat, candy etc...) to give the Preacher. We always have a good time. Last year it was very warm, this year very cold.

what else would you expect from a couple of the Stribling boys!

Can you tell it was cold out? Amanda and Roran were bundled up well!

A couple of projects

so this week I finished up a couple of projects for myself. The first project was the teachers Christmas presents. I had the idea this summer and bought all the supplies when all the school supplies were on sale. The flowers are red ink pens, and I had my sister help with the painting on the pots. (she has better handwriting than I do and better painting skills too) But at least the idea was mine!!

Then I went out and bought a 24x30 canvas and made my girls a new bow board! It holds everything they already had, they wanted to go "shopping" with moms bows if there was room left, but I think they have done enough shopping for now!! (hahaha)

Ellia's 2 month visit to the dr

I love this picture!
Today we went to Springfield to the doctor for Ellia. Dr. Jones was out today so we saw Val instead. She checked out ok, she weighs 12.1 lbs. and 22 inches long. Bella was the one with the camera today and I think she actually got a few cute pictures. Ellia got 3 shots today and Bella got the flu mist.

Gail's Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins for our porch. If we have time this year we might go ahead and carve them. It actaully was nice out and not raining or too cold. We also picked up some local made honey, the kids really like it!
