Saturday Morning Swim

Saturday we headed down to the lobby for some breakfast, Don't the girls look cute?!! Bella got a new Cinderella doll at the Disney outlet and wanted to wear her stuff right away. Anyway, we had some food and then went swimming again!

Black Friday!

I got up at 3:10 and went over to Kohl's to shop! (We had a great location to do some shopping, right across the street from Kohl's, Wal-Mart, Target) Cynthia met me there and we did a little damage and then I went to pick up the rest of the gang to head to Branson for some outlet shopping which was the BEST day after Thanksgiving shopping ever! After we shopped we headed back to Springfield and at at the Red Robin. The kids and Mike had never been there so it was a great experience for them! Then we headed back over to Don and Roxannes for dinner again and more visiting!

Here are a few pictures that were taken on Thanksgiving either before, during, or after. Bella LOVED to ride the doggie! she would ask over, and over, and over again if she could ride the dog!

Just so you can see how BIG this dog is, here he is standing with Mike! He weighs around 120 lbs.!! I called him a big polar bear!

First things first... We had to go swimming! So after we eat breakfast we all went back to the room and got our swimsuites on and went swimming for a few hours! Then we headed over to Cynthia's house to visit and make some Christmas ornaments before we headed over to Don andRoxanne's for our Thanksgiving meal! Baby Oscar is 2 months old now!

Incredible Pizza, Springfield MO

Day 1 of our Thanksgiving Trip!

First we went and checked into our hotel and then surprised the kids with a trip to Incredible Pizza and met up with Amber, Oscar, and Brian there. The kids were so excited!! We got the all you can eat Pizza and pasta buffet and then all you can play games for 1 hour and 1/2!!

I thought it was so cute Amber and Moriah had the same haircut and was styled the same!

this was just he beginning of the feeding the tickets in the machine!! They all ended up with around 400 each!! And when it came to the prizes, they actually had religious stuff that said " smile if you love Jesus" or " Jesus love me" (they are Christian owned!)

Wild Week so far!! Just wait til Black Friday!

I made it to Bloomington to sell bows yesterday (I didn't need to swap out any for the Halloween they sold them all!! yeah!!) and I even headed to Springfield after the Bloomington run so I could see my stores in Sherman and Springfield!! (what a busy day!) It reminded me of my days when I was a sales rep and had to be on the road everyday!! I was luck tho when I got back in town gas was still 1.55 a gallon compared to Springfield at 1.87!

After the kids got out of school they all got their haircut! I am now packed and ready to travel for Thanksgiving, I have a TON of ribbon packed since I will have a total of 12 hours on the road! So, for all you bow customers I will have a LOT of new stuff to show in the next few weeks. Maybe even a contest on the hairbow blog!

Getting ready for Thanksgiving!

Today I need to finish packing and I was going to make some bread in my bread machine to take with us on our trip. Yesterday I got the house cleaned. I need to run to Bloomington too (I still haven't switched out their Halloween bows to Christmas!!) So that NEEDS to be done! Can you believe it is only ONE month til Christmas??!! I can't wait to shop on Black Friday I checked out some of the adds already and I will be at Kohl's at 4AM!! (well of course a bit before that that is when they open!)

American Girl Christmas!

Today after school and after Bella's nap we dressed all the American Girl dolls in their Christmas dresses! It was fun. Then we had to pose them all together for a picture. The girls told their babies to say "cheese" and to smile for the picture. And in between pictures Moriah had to "fix" her baby she apparently moved after a shot!

Cub Scout Pack meeting

Tonight at the pack meeting Isaiah got his BobCat patch! This is a big step for the Tiger Cubs to get. They had to say the moto, know the promise, know the Cub Scout sign, and what WEBLOS means. So congrats to Isaiah for is FIRST REAL patch! (oh, and I had to hold him upside down for him to get his patch, because he has to do a "Good Turn for America" to get it turned right side up!And here is Zack getting another belt loop and pins that he earned!

Shipping to IRAQ

Today I shipped out two packages to Iraq to some of our troops. Some of the Daisy Scouts donated some stuff like: microwave meals, homemade goodies, snacks, and each girl made a card. They all thought this was so much fun, they are hoping that the guys (and gals) will send a letter back to them!

Christmas is up!!

I am so happy to say that I have almost ALL of my Christmas up. Now I have just a few little things to tweak and we are done!! But none of my lights worked this year, I had to replace EVERYTHING! So all my garlands (that is 6) take everything off so I could put it all back together. Since I had to do this as a big project I went and bought a few new pieces of garland (some of mine needed replaced anyway. I worked on cleaning ALL day yesterday to get my house looking better (I have had Christmas stuff out for weeks waiting to be put up) and today it Christmas shopping day!! I am taking the kids to school and then headed to shop at Toys R Us, Target, Hobby Lobby, and maybe a few others!

Oh, and my camera came last week!! I will post some pictures later. I need to get 24 cheer bows done by tomorrow and get a TON more done for this weekend. I will be at Christmas on Vinegar Hill in Mt. Pulaski!


UPDATE: I have like 8 presents yet to buy!! Today I knocked out several things that the boys wanted for Christmas. (I already had the girls pretty much done before) I got stocking stuffers for them and was so excited that I found everything I was wanting!! (they are going to be sooooo excited!!) Now I can't wait to wrap them all up and have them ready. I wont be able to do that until after Thanksgiving though, because we are headed to see Mike's family for Thanksgiving and I am too busy getting ready for the last few shows I have before Christmas!

Pizza Hut

Yesterday the kids got out of school early for a teacher meeting day so Michelle, Melanie and I took the kids to Pizza Hut for lunch and to you there reader certificates. The kids had a great time sitting together for lunch!

Blessed, Touched, and Thanking God

I was very touched today when I had an unexpected visitor knock on my door. It was a face that I recognized from High School, but hadn't talked to for years. She came in the door and said that she just got out of rehab and had to thank my husband for saving her life!

Last month there was a couple arguing and you could tell they were under the influence of some kind of substance and the guy was chocking the girl to the point of passing out. At that point Mike ran out and told the guy to get his hands off of her. The guy then got back in the truck and she started walking. Mike asked her several times at this point about calling the cops, and she insisted NO. After agreeing with her at that moment and stepped back in the house, she was grabbed by the neck and pulled into the truck and speed off. Of course I grabbed my phone and called the police at told them what was going on. they found the guy that night, but she wasn't in the truck like we stated so the police searched and found her beaten and clothing riped off of her.

This incident really upset Mike and I and we slept very lightly the next few nights in fear that something else would happen.

I am sharing this story as an example of how we as Christians treat those we don't even know. I am also very thankful for our actions that night and know that God was watching over our family that nothing would happen to us for saving this girl. She said that she has re found God through this experience and doesn't know why she stayed in the relationship she did for so long. I hope and pray that she will join me and my family at church as I did invite her and she was positive about wanting to come.

Lets all be examples of Christ this week and always to show others Christ love!

I FINALLY did it...

I finally ordered a new camera!! It should be here no later than next Monday!! So you will be seeing more pictures from me again on here!! YeAH!! So, how is everyone doing on their Christmas shopping? I have been doing more and more every week. I have to go to Daisy Scouts soon so I will be back again later this week!! Date night with my hubby!

Ok, so we didn't really go anywhere, but we still had a great time without the kids. We ordered First Wok and brought it home and had a candlelight dinner and then watched a movie we rented. It was a nice few hours of no kids crying and needing me for something else. I love you Mike!!

Update on the Family

We had a very busy week last week. I had a Party on Thursday, Friday was Halloween with class parties for the kids (I was in charge of the craft for Isaiah's class), Saturday I had 2 more open house shows, One in Lincoln and the other in Emden (The Emden show was soooo much fun, we had 37 vendors there and we all had a really good day!), and Sunday we worked on putting more of our Christmas Decorations up. (Yes, I said more! We have had our tree up for a little over a week now!) So, Today Monday I just got done working out at the Rec and I will be cleaning the house and getting ready for more Decorating, Tomorrow Snowball gets a haircut and I have to deliver bows to some of my stores!! I Hope everyone had a good time on Halloween and are getting ready for Christmas!!
