Happy New Year, (almost!)
We usually aren't real big New Years Eve people. We will play a few games and get some of the Welch's sparkle grape juice for the kids and celebrate no later than New York time. (hahaha) But what we are really excited about is that we are going on the Disney Cruise in March of 2010! We have been waiting forever to have it available to book and we did that yesterday. The whole family is going and we have 8 rooms booked so far!! You should check out the link and see how much fun it can be!!

Some BIG News in the Prather Household!
OK, so I have been saving something that I was trying to wait until January to tell people, but things have come up and I "let the cat out of the bag today!"
Mike and I are expecting a baby August 2, 2009. Everything looks good with the baby now and I am already trying to think of how to get my holiday bows done this summer so I don't go crazy this fall.
We told the family with a small photo book that I put together. On each page was a baby picture and a current picture of each of my children with the last page being the sonogram picture from my Dr. visit earlier this month. It was funny how it was pasted from one person to the next without someone Yelling out "your having a baby?" There were some "oh my are you serious?" and "REALLY!!" But overall I think it went over a bit better than I thought. So, there you have it something I am sure I will get some comments on!!If not no one is reading my blog anymore!! hahaha!!!!

Christms Day!
Just a few pictures of Christmas day! Bella likes her Elmo live, Moriah loves her Molly American Girl doll, and the boys love there IPod shuffles!
Here they are opening Mario Sluggers Wii game. Santa did a good job on this present; he put a Cubs t-shirt in the box for each of the boys and then on the bottom was the Mario game!! How smart was that!

Christmas Eve with Mike's mom
Christmas Eve, I made a big dinner for Donna and Craig for us to have our Christmas Celebration. After we ate we went to Jefferson Street Christian Church for their Christmas Eve service because or church had to cancel because of the ice in Atlanta. Then we came back home and opened presents. We had a good evening (didn't get to bed until 2 or so though).

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!!
I am excited that Christmas is here; although I could use a little more time to celebrate and look forward to it. I was really sick yesterday with the 24 hour flu (at least that is what I think it was) and today was much better. We went and did the grocery shopping for Christmas Eve dinner, (I host it with Mikes Mom every year) and then tomorrow night we will head to Church for the much looked forward to Christmas Eve service. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and remember the Birth of our Savior!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Why Jesus is better than Santa Claus
Santa lives at the North Pole...
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year....
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies...
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.
You have to wait in line to see Santa..
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap...
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly...
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO...
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa's little helpers make toys...
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but..
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree..
JESUS became our gift and dies on a tree.
It's obvious there is really on comparison. We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about. We need to put Christ back in CHRISTmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.
Yes, Jesus is better, he is even better than Santa Claus!

A Night in Bethlehem!
Sunday night we went over to Jefferson Street Christian Church for their Night in Bethlehem experience. We had a GREAT time there. They had several different tents set up with different "shops" to go visit and the did a craft at each one. We did: Tye dying, bakery, mosaics, rope making, toy shop (with clay), farmers market (tasted several different fruits), made a perfume necklace, weaved a cloth, and then went to the stable to see the King that was born there that all the shop owners were telling us about! All the workers were dressed in the clothing too! May we all remember why we celebrate Christmas!
Roller Skating party!
I took the kids to Bloomington on Saturday to a birthday party roller skating. Bella had a blast. The picture of the boys is a little blurry, but I had to include it because Isaiah really enjoyed it!

Sad day today..
Today after we took the kids to school and were getting ready to head to the grocery store we got a phone call from my dad saying that my Uncle had past away. Very shocking for us that I even thought my Husband was joking. Uncle Tom was the biggest Dodger's fan you had ever met and Mike and him would always talk about politics! (Tom was a democrat and of course Mike a republican) This has been really hard on Mike and the kids too! I will always remember as a kid the fish and the big fish tank he always had and his fish "digger". or that he always had 2, or 3 or 4 ball games going on at the same time on the TV or the radios that were close by (remember he is a HUGE ball fan). Tom wrote down every score, who did what in what game. Well, just getting this down and makes me feel better and thanks for taking the time to read what I had written.

Funny things that kids say and do...
This happened a few weeks ago but I had to keep it to post and to show Zack when he is older I just laughed when I went through his homework. If you read the bottom of his spelling test here he asked the teacher a question, and I love the response from the teacher!!
Then Moriah brought us this note down the other day when her and Bella were playing in their room together. I guess Moriah got mad at her! (oh, and the last word is bad she got her "b" and "d" mixed up! and I love how she wrote Bella Boo!)
Reminder...
Just a reminder my contest on the Babyations blog ends this Friday! click here to go to my bow blog and enter.

Bass Pro Shop Santa visit!
We had to go to the Bass Pro Shop to see Santa since we were here in time this year! The kids liked looking around at the animals everywhere.
Kallie's boyfriend!! (My mom has always called Kallie a squirel so when I saw this I had to get a picture of him!)
And of course Isaiah wouldn't look at Daddy taking a picture because there were too many people around and he HATES to get his picture taken!
