Oakhill Twisters

Moriah has joined the Oakhill cheerleaders this year. so here are a few pictures of her at practice last night stretching and doing her cheer. She is the one in the flower top (she didn't change into her new outfit she wanted to wait!)Here she is on the back of the truck waiting for the parade to begin. She thought it was pretty cool how we yelled her name at her in the parade to get her attention!

Dont forget!!

Don't forget to check out my Babyations hairbows blog. Today is the last day to enter my contest!

Also I will be adding picture of Moriah at Cheerleading and in the Homecoming parade later today! Have a great day.

Discovery Museum Toddler Time

This visit was all about "Sand, Sea, and Me". We sang songs, made several crafts, and explored real starfish, seashells and more! We really had a good time doing this at the Childrens discovery museum After our class was over we got to play with all the other stuff, (including making ice cream again although this time we made chocolate)

Oh, and Aaron and Chrys went with us! It was nice for the two kids to play without the bigger kids around and the museum was pretty empty since we chose the first class of the day!

After the museum we headed across the street to a new little restaurant called Big Mouth's. I had coupons for $1.00 hot dogs. Then we ran a few errands around town and the last stop was the cloth diaper store called Pinstripes and Polkadots. Chrys wanted to see some other cloth diaper choices in person so she could see what she wanted to invest in. She has been using some wonderoos that I have given her to try and she likes them. And Yippee to Amanda for taking the step into cloth diapering!! You will like having less diaper rashes and saving a ton of money!! (I know I am! especially since they have gone up in price like crazy and I have used the same diapers for 2 baby butts!!)

Library time

Today was the first day of the toddler story time for the fall. I so which I had my camera today, but I didn't, it was at home sitting by the computer since I just added the Lego pictures to the blog!! oh well I will take it next week. Bella was so much fun today. We rode my bike downtown and dropped off a package at the post office and then headed to the library to pick out books before story time. We walked in and Bella went straight to the librarian and asked her for Elmo books!! I just stood there and laughed I can't get over my 2 year old going up to her and asking for Elmo books!! So of course she looked it up and found a few for Bella to choose from (I mean a few for her to check out there was no choosing!!) She loved to sing, and dance, and listen to the 2 stories. After that was over we rode our bike to the bakery and got Bella a cookie for the ride home!! I am glad I signed her up for story times!!

Legoland Chicago!

This was a late Birthday present to Zack and he wanted to take Isaiah too! (I am glad because I wanted to take both boys with me!!) they had a great time at legoland chicago. Above are some pictures of the city (downtown Chicago). Below are some pictures of the Jungle Safari that we went through. We went on this Dragon ride a couple of times. The boys liked looking at the jewel pieces. (they call the rare pieces) Oh, and the movie was pretty cool too! It was a 4D movie; which means that it is 3D on the screen and you actually get wet or feel the wind and it snowed on us!!
And last but not least, a picture of me and my boy at the Rainforest Cafe. They had a cafe at the legoland, but for what you get at that price it actually made Rainforest look cheap!!

Lunch at School today

So today I took some time out to have lunch with Moriah and Isaiah. I didn't get any pictures, but it was nice to see them in the middle of the day.
One of the big reasons why I decided to do the lunch is Moriah comes home and always says that she didn't have enough time to eat and as her mommy I knew better than that I happen to know that my little girl is a social butterfly!! She loves to talk. And of course one of the other reason is it was Cream Turkey on biscuit (one of my favorites from when I was in grade school) and last but not least I loved asking them at lunch if they had learnt anything new or did anything fun!

Saturday Night Family Night

We had our family night on Saturday night this week due to the garage sale at mom's house this weekend. (yes another garage sale, this was the 3rd one this year!!) Anyway, we made homemade salsa and tortilla chips. The kids each got some tortillas and cut out different shapes. As you can see in the picture we have a "C" for the Cubs, a "u" also for the cubs, a trapezoid and a tepee! This was a lot of fun!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACK-A-ROO!!

Today is Zack's Birthday so he wanted me to take treats to school for the class. We made

homemade Ice Cream!! The kids had a blast doing it too! After they made and ate their ice cream they sang Happy Birthday to him and the "how old are you" song and then Zack had to reply with a song singing that he is 10 years old!! And for those that wanted the recipe here it is!

  • 1/2 cup of cream
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

put all the above in a sandwich bag

  • 2 cups of ice
  • 1/4 cup ice cream salt

put these items in a gallon bag. After you have your bags put the sandwich bag in the bag of ice and SHAKE!!! SHAKE!!! SHAKE!!! for 2 minutes! Then you have Ice Cream!! Then after school the boys came home to their new beds!! I tore down the bunk beds and put up the twin beds. They thought that was pretty cool that they can lay there and talk to each other. (and mom is excited it will be easier to make the beds!!)

I have had a very busy day here. Next the family is coming over for the party!! I will post pictures as soon as I can. I have a few bow orders that I have to get done this week!!

Night out at the McIntire's

Saturday Melanie called and invited our family over to have dinner, play games and watch the Ultimate Fights. We had a great time filled with laughing, and fun. Here is a picture of Melanie and Chris cooking up some supper and then the kids eatting it!

After we ate the kids played games and played. Isaiah pooped out and fell asleep next to daddy!

Then we had a tea party. (all the girls that is, while the guys started watching the fights.)

Atlanta Fall Festival

Saturday afternoon I took the kids up to Atlanta for the Fall Fest parade. They enjoyed throwing the candy out to the kids watching the parade! The float theme was "Give your child the gift of Christ" (I know the picture turned out a little dark but It was the only one that I got!)
